Life as we know it is about to change. Change for the better - but change nonetheless.

I'll be leaving my job as a Kindergarten Program Coordinator and going on maternity leave - we’ll be having another child, and becoming parents to two under two.

Ashton will be a year and a half about a week after baby's arrival. Throw in a c section recovery (a blog topic for another day) and we will have a very interesting spring. Thankfully, we have family close by, and some coming to visit - to help out, stay with Ashton, and provide some much needed support.

I'm having mixed feelings about adding a second. Most of us have read the “letters to my first born” type posts and I may be writing one… but for the most part I am excited to be adding another little member of our family. Save for some feelings that I may not be able to provide all the support that Ashton will need while living out his little toddler life.

I think some other big changes may be coming our way that we can't see coming yet. I think the boys will grow up in the blink of an eye and more will change and our lives will look very different than they do now. I think all the time about how if someone told me that by 25 I'd be married, have two kids and be living across the country in a small town in a house we own… I'd think they were crazy.

Of course this was my dream but we just can't see what life has in store for us.

P.S. change is good.

For now… we’re working on baby's name.
